Make a difference to people with liver disease

If you have experience of liver disease, or have been told that you are at risk of developing it, we’d like your help to find ways to diagnose the condition earlier. You can also get involved if you care for someone with the condition.

Help to improve outcomes for patients

Three quarters of people with liver disease diagnosed when it is too late for lifestyle changes or intervention. Researchers at the University of Manchester, teams from Manchester University Foundation Trust and industry experts have come together to change this and we’re looking for for patients and carers to join them.

Your views and experiences are vital to help patients have better outcomes. You don’t need any previous experience of health research to take part, just be happy to share your views and experiences.

There are lots of different ways for you to be involved including filling in surveys, joining a friendly online discussion group, or helping us to oversee the project.

Please note that our activities are currently taking place as a mixture of in person and online. We are committed to making our opportunities as inclusive and accessible as possible. We want to support you to be involved so if there is anything that we can do to enable you to take part please let us know.

If you are interested in taking part, please register via the ‘Get involved’ button below, and we’ll get in touch with you to have a chat about the project.

There is more information about the project on the ID LIVER website.
