Have your say in dermatology research

If you’re an adult with experience of psoriasis, alopecia, photodermatoses or chronic wounds, or if you care for someone who does, you can join the Dermatology Research User Network and help to shape new research.

Contribute to cutting-edge dermatology research in Manchester.

We’re looking for people with experience of any of the following to join the Network:

  • Psoriasis

  • Alopecia (hair loss)

  • Photodermatoses (light sensitive skin conditions)

  • Chronic, difficult to heal wounds

  • Concerns about the quality of your skin as you become older

As a member of the Network, you’ll draw on your lived experience to share your views and opinions with researches. You can be involved by taking part in friendly meetings online or face to face, by providing feedback on research proposals or information by email.

Dermatological conditions affect in people in different ways and we’re committed to make sure that the network includes people from a range of lived experiences. We specifically encourage people who are from Black and other minoritised ethnic communities to join the Network.
