Liver disease
If you have liver disease or have been told you're at risk of developing it, you can help people in the future by having a say in research now.
-
The North West of England has one of the UK’s highest rates of liver disease. Research aims to detect liver disease earlier and to improve people's access to health and screening services.
-
Most people don't have any symptoms until their disease is at an advanced stage. If liver disease is diagnosed early, people can make simple lifestyle changes that can help their liver to recover.
-
You'll be paid £25 per hour for taking part in meetings and activities.
Make a difference
Join the Vocal Liver Network and help to ensure that people's views and experiences are included in the design and delivery of research.
You can be part of the Network if you’ve been told you’re at risk of liver disease or have experience of liver disease, or if you care for someone who has the condition. You can also take part if you work or volunteer for an organisation that supports people who are at risk.
Your views and experiences are vital to help patients have better outcomes. You don’t need any previous experience of health research to take part, just be happy to share your views and experiences.
There are different ways to be involved such as
joining a discussion group about research and sharing your views and experiences
completing a survey
giving your feedback on documents
As a member of the Network you’d be invited to take part in activities that are relevant to your experience. Please note that activities may be in person or online.
We’re committed to making our opportunities as inclusive and accessible as possible. We want to support you to be involved so if there’s anything that we can do to enable you to take part please let us know.
