Young people's views are important in health research

Young people's voices aren't always heard in health research. Together we can change this and you can be part of it.

Help shape research for your future

You don't need any experience of research, just to be interested in making a difference

Voice Up is a group for anyone aged between 11-24 living in Greater Manchester. We welcome young people from all backgrounds regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability status, ethnicity or religious beliefs. We need to hear from as many different people as possible to ensure that research is being done that benefits everyone. You can choose to get involved however you like. We’ll support you to be involved in ways that suit you.

There’s a Voice Up meeting every 3 months (Please note that our activities are currently taking place as a mixture of in person and online). Members also give their views and opinions by filling in questionnaires and surveys, or by chatting on the phone. Voice Up is flexible and fits around other commitments like school, college and work.

We’re committed to making our opportunities as inclusive and accessible as possible. We want to support you to be involved and if there is anything that we can do to enable you to take part please let us know. We believe that your time is valuable and we offer gift vouchers for taking part in meetings and taking part online. Meetings or activities are usually 1-2 hours long.
