Have your say about our new strategy

Posted by Bella Starling, Director, in Listen up, April, 2023

We'd love to hear your views on our plans for the next five years

At Vocal we’ve been developing a new strategy to guide our work with patients, researchers and communities over the next 5 years. We’d love to hear your views on our first draft.

How have we developed it so far?

Our emerging strategy has been co-created in partnership with our Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic Research Advisory Group, and through a series of workshop-based discussions, with over 60 public and community partners; and over 35 researchers and research staff.

What’s included in our strategy?

Our strategy builds on our work and learning from our previous 5 year plan (2017-2022) and is based on our values;

  • Everyone Matters

  • Working Together

  • Driving Excellence

  • Innovating

It also includes an action plan for our work with the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre and NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility.

Where can I read the strategy?

You can view or download the strategy document below, (20 pages).

How can I have my say?

You can give your feedback in three ways

or

  • By having a chat with a member of the Vocal team. Contact us at vocal@mft.nhs.uk and one of us will get back to you to arrange a time for a phone call or online chat.

Please do get in touch if you'd prefer to tell us what you think in an different way.

When is the closing date?

We need your feedback by Tuesday 9th of May.

What happens after we've had everyone's feedback?

We’ll make changes and submit the strategy to our funder, the National Institute of Health and Care Research.

We’ll put the final version on this website and we’ll report on how we're meeting our objectives each year.
