We're developing a change in how research is done

Posted by Annie Keane, Interim Director, in Listen up, June, 2020

Why Adil joined the BAME Research Advisory Group

So, researchers might have a lot of insight and kind of data towards white, individuals who might be going through a certain condition. But they might not have as much research or data around someone from the BAME community.

Adil shares how the innovative Black Asian Minority Ethnic Research Advisory Group was set up, why it’s important and the impact that it’s having.

It's important that the researchers come to us. We...give them advice..and work with them around having that cultural awareness, cultural intelligence, emotional intelligence around working with that community and how the community might really want to work.

If you are a researcher, find out how you can get advice and input on your research from BRAG
